BREAKFAST DIET

I know what you are going to say. The experts say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. They say that children that eat breakfast are smarter in school. Well according to Edward Hooker Dewey, and Horace Fletcher, and a lot of the other 19th century diet masters, we shouldn’t eat breakfast. Once we awake in the morning, the body is totally rested from the night before. We shouldn’t require anything to eat until we get hungry, and the hunger that we have is not hunger at all but just a habitual appetite. The growling that we experience is just our digestive system emptying everything out of the stomach.
I have yo yo’d on diets all of my life. The most weight loss that I have ever experienced was when I did not eat breakfast. I ate a lot of fast food and have tried two biscuits, and one biscuit, sometimes oatmeal, or cereal and nothing seemed to work. I never lost any weight. Then I began to chew my food thoroughly and starting my day with eating breakfast at lunchtime. A couple of cups of coffee usually tide me over until lunch.
